Despite having our lowest number of orders to date, along with all the changes from the COVID 19 pandemic, our 3rd annual Singing Valentine fundraiser was still very successful! After expenses, we were able to raise $926.02 for the BC Wildlife Park, this year’s charity recipient. This is partly thanks to several very generous individuals who contributed a little extra. The Wildlife Park has been connecting people to BC’s wildlife and wild places to encourage a sustainable society within a healthy natural environment since 1966. The funds raised by the Singing Valentines will assist them with the ongoing costs associated with the caring of some of British Columbia’s iconic wildlife.
Instead of traveling across Kamloops making deliveries this year, we recorded videos to send to people on Valentine’s Day. Each member of the quartet recorded himself singing his part in isolation. We were then able to record “music video” style on location at the Wildlife Park to create the videos. Lastly, we recorded a short introduction, along with any special message requests, to precede each video before it was sent out. We want to thank everyone who ordered a Singing Valentine and supported our fundraiser this year. While it was not the same experience, we truly believe that messages of love and caring are more important now than ever before. It is a privilege and a pleasure to be part of your Valentine’s Day messages!
We look forward to spreading more messages of love and caring next year. Please fill out the form to nominate a local charity for next year’s Singing Valentine fundraiser.
