Announcing Our 6th Annual Singing Valentines Fundraiser!

We are continuing our annual tradition of spreading messages of love and caring throughout Kamloops with the 2024 edition of their Singing Valentines fundraiser. From 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Valentine’s Day (Wednesday, February 14), Slow No Tempo will be traveling across Kamloops presenting recipients with the one-of-a-kind experience of four well-dressed gentlemen appearing to perform a special love song just for them, and present them with a flower and something sweet to eat.

A Singing Valentine is an excellent way to show that special someone in your life how much you care for them. Singing Valentines are also a fun way to let a parent, grandparent, sibling, cousin, friend, coworker, team member, etc. know that they are important to you.

Because the special people in our lives are not the only ones who deserve a little love, we select a different local charity each year to support with their fundraiser. The charity chosen for 2024 is A Way Home Kamloops. A Way Home Kamloops is a leader and innovator in preventing and ending youth homelessness, providing housing and support services to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness. A Way Home Kamloops provides a continuum of housing options and operates from a “Youth Housing First” philosophy. They provide a variety of programs including: life-skills, case management, employment readiness, peer navigation, and support groups; all with the intention of supporting youth in achieving “adulting” skills.

We will be delivering Singing Valentines during the Morning (9:00 am to 12:30 pm), Afternoon (1:00 pm to 5:00 pm), and Evening (6:00 pm to 9:00 pm) time frames. When placing an order, one can select the time frame and choose from three song options: Cyndi Lauper’s True Colours, the Backstreet Boys’ I Want it That Way, or the Tin Pan Alley classic Hello My Baby.

Morning and Afternoon delivery schedules will be based on bookings. As such the quartet cannot guarantee a delivery at a specific time, rather guaranteeing a delivery within that time frame. This time frame approach enables us to plan out the most efficient route, maximizing the amount of deliveries possible while also giving us incredible flexibility to swing back around if a recipient was in a meeting, had to step out for a few minutes, etc.

New this year, for the Evening time frame one can now book a specific time. The cost for Morning and Afternoon deliveries is $60, and an Evening booking is $120. You can order your delivery by filling out the form on our website. You must have ordered and paid for your delivery by 10:00 pm on Monday, February 12.
